WIP Space Residencies provide free, 24/7 access to a studio space for six months. The residencies support creative practitioners by offering space and time to develop new work, as well as a public platform to share and refine their ideas.

We prioritise those most in need of a studio. As part of the application process, we ask applicants to reflect on the opportunities available to them in education, income, financial security, occupation, living conditions, resources, and broader societal access.

Each year, we offer two six-month residency spaces. Successful applicants are expected to contribute to the public programme by organising an exhibition and workshop during their residency. To support this, WIP provides a £500 Exhibition Fee and a £250 Workshop Fee.
